  • The efficiency of heat engine is given by following formula N=1-\frac{T_2}{T_1}
  • 81 is taken as initial temperature while T2 is taken as the final temperature the values of T1 and T2 are being 400 and 350 respectively.
  • Applying this values in the above given equation and simplifying,

           1-\frac{T_2}{T_1}=1-\frac{350}{400}

            =\frac{50}{400}

             =\frac{1}{8}

             =12.5%

  • on solving this we get the value as 1/8 when converted into percentage it becomes 12.5%.
