The reversible heat engine works on a reverse cycle and behaves as a heat pump. The Carnot cycle is reversible signifying the upper limit on the efficiency of an engine cycle. ... The Carnot cycle reaches maximum efficiency because all the heat is pushed to the working fluid at the maximum temperature

Answer:

Efficiency of Carnot Engine is

1 -  \frac{t2}{t1}

t1=temperature of the source

t2=temperature of the sink

Efficiency of heat engine is

1 -  \frac{q2}{q1}

q1=heat extracted from the source

q2=heat rejected to the sink
