Efficiency of jenelia is 25% more than jessica and jessica takes 25 days to complete a piece of work. jenelia started a work alone and then jessica joined her 5 days before actual completion of the work, for how many days jenelia worked alone?/

From the question, we understand that Jenelia is 25% more efficient than Jessica.

If Jessica is finishing her work in 25 days, Jenelia can finish the same work in 20 days.

Now, when they both work together, they can complete the same task in, 1/20 + 1/25 = 9/100 ;

Therefore, when Jenelia started working and Jessica joined her in the last 5 days, the equation becomes:

x/20 + 5/(100/9) = 1;

x/20 + 45/100 = 1;

x/20 + 9/20 = 1;

x/20 = 11/20;

Therefore;

X = 11 days
