We know that Electrostatic force between the charges Q and q kept at a distance r is
F =( k × Q × q ) / r^2
where , k = coulomb's constant = 9 × 10^9

Also when a charge particle q kept in an Electric field created by a Point charge Q .... Charge particle experience force and this force is again an electrostatic force,
F = q × E
=> E = F / q
= { ( k × Q × q ) / r^2 } / q
= k × Q × q / r^2 × q
= kQ / r^2
E = kQ / r^2 is the required relation of an electric field due to point charge Q....
