Hi friend thanks for asking this wonderful question. I know it's hotly debated if he came first of egg. Well a few days back there were news about this question. Some scientists have confirmed that there is a special protein found in the egg shell which can be made only by a hen! So it was sure that the hen came first. But let me tell you, ever organism in the world has evolved at any stage of life. So maybe hen might have evolved too! It's not necessary that they were birds only! When we see the case of living organisms all trace their way back from the oceans. So similarly we can guess the case for hen. They could have evolved from any other creature to present stage birds.
