Q= mCp ΔT

ΔU= m Cv ΔT

W= Q- ΔU

We need to find W/Q

= (Q- ΔU)/ Q = 1 - mCvΔT/mCpΔT= 1 - Cv/Cp

Cp/Cv= Υ = 5/3 so Cv/Cp= 3/5

⇒ W/Q = 1 - 3/5 = 2/5

now percentage 2/5 × 100 = 40%
