Given :- In one exam 70% students passed in Paper 1.60% students passed in Paper 2. 15% students failed in both subjects and 270 students passed exactly in both subjects. So what is the total number of children ?

Answer :-

→ Failed in both = 15%

so,

→ Passed in both = 100% - 15% = 85%

now,

→ Passed in exactly two subjects = 70% + 60% - 85% = 130 - 85 = 45% .

then,

→ 45% ----------- 270

→ 1% ------------- (270/45)

→ 100% ---------- 6 * 100 = 600 (1) (Ans.)

पेपर 1 मध्ये उत्तीर्ण  = 70 %

Passed in paper 1  = 70 %

पेपर 1 मध्ये अनुत्तीर्ण  =100 - 70 = 30 %

Failed  in paper 1  = 100 - 70 = 30 %  

पेपर 2मध्ये उत्तीर्ण  = 60 %

Passed in paper 2  = 60 %

पेपर 2 मध्ये अनुत्तीर्ण  =100 -60 = 40 %

Failed  in paper 2  = 100 - 60 = 40 %  

विद्यार्थी दोन्ही विषयात अनुत्तीर्ण  = 15 %

Failed  in both papers  = 15 %

Failed  in  either of the paper  =  30 + 40 - 15  =   55 %

Passed in both papers  = 100 - 55  = 45 %

दोन्ही विषयात  उत्तीर्ण  =  100 - 55  = 45 %

45 % = 270

=> 100 %  = 270 * 100/45   =  600

Total Students = 600
