indigo was planted in india and was termed as blue gold. it was very precious that europeans try a lot to achieve it but not in a wealthy manner..Indian farmers fought a lot for indigo, many of them were died also,thats why it is said that NOT A CHEST OF INDIGO REACHED ENGLAND WITHOUT BEING STAINED WITH HUMAN BLOOD..
