Third equation of motion is:-
v { }^{2}  - u {}^{2}  = 2as
The area under the graph gives us the distance travelled by the object.
S= area of the trapezium
 \frac{1}{2} (oa + bd) \times od

 \frac{1}{2} (u + v) \times t


From equation (1),
t =  \frac{v - u}{a}


so
s =  \frac{1}{2} (v + u) \times  \frac{(v - u)}{a}

 \frac{v {}^{2} - u {}^{2}  }{2a }  = s
v {}^{2}  - u { }^{2}  = 2as
Third equation is formed.
