ELECTRONEGATIVITY is a chemical property that describes the tendency of an atom to attract a shared pair of electrons towards itself. An atom's electronegativity is affected by both its atomic number and the distance at which its valence electrons reside from the charged nucleus.

NOTE :-The higher the electronegativity, the greater an atom's attraction for electrons.

&Ionization energy is the energy required to remove an electron from a gaseous atom or ion. The first or initial ionization energy or Ei of an atom or molecule is the energy required to remove one mole of electrons from one mole of isolated gaseous atoms or ions.

NOTE:-.The ionization energy increases as each electron is removed.
