Tan B position :
When arms and needles of magnet will point towards North & South and pointer will be towards East West and will coincide with zero - zero.
M / B = 4 λ ( d ^ 2 + l ^ 2 ) ^ 3/2 x tan θ / μ
M1 / M2 = ( d1 ^ 2 + l1 ^ 2 / ( d2 ^ 2 + l2 ^ 2 ) ^ 3/2
In case of short magnet,
M1 / M2 = ( d1 / d2 ) ^ 3
