The electric fuse is a metal alloy of low melting point. When the resistance of the conductors increase or voltage is high or when high current is flowing , then temperature of the circuit rises , this rise in temperature increases the temperature of fuse metal also . Due to more heat the fuse melts and breaks the circuit and current stops flowing and the circuit is protected from damage. Therefore fuse is required in all electrical appliances.
hope it helps u

Answer:

The fuse breaks the circuit if a fault in an appliance causes too much current to flow. This protects the wiring and the appliance if something goes wrong. The fuse contains a peice of wire that melts easily. If a current going through the fuse is too great, the wire heats up until it melts and breaks the circuit. An electric fuse protects the electric appliances from damage.
