● 2NaCl => 2Na+ + 2Cl-
☆ Oxidation reaction occurs at anode
● 2Cl- => Cl2 (g) + 2e
☆ Reduction reaction occurs at cathode
● 2Na+ + 2e => 2Na (s)
☆ So the total reaction is
● 2NaCl => Cl2 + 2Na
