redox reaction is the combine reaction of oxidation and reduction.
overall electrolysis reaction for PbBr2 is
PbBr2 ---------------------> Pb + Br2
at cathode:
Pb2+ + 2e -------------------------> Pb (reduction) --------------------(1)
at anode:
2Br- -------------------------------> Br2 + 2e (oxidation) ----------------------------(2)
on adding both (1) & (2) we get
PbBr2 --------------------> Pb + Br2
so electrolysis of PbBr2 is considered a redox reaction.
