Actually, it is particle, as electrons r there in radiations.

  1. Travelling in denser medium creating waves , just like rearfraction and compression of sound waves.
  2. Electromagnetic waves are produced by the motion of electrically chargedparticles. These waves are also called "electromagnetic radiation" because they radiate from the electrically charged particles. They travel through empty space as well as through air and other substances.

Answer:

(1) Phenomenon such as diffraction and interfer ence of light could be explained on the basis of wave nature of electromagnetic radiation.

(2) Black-body radiation or photoelectric effect could not be explained by wave nature but could be explained by particle nature of electromagnetic radiation.

(3) Thus when light interacts with matter it behaves as a stream of particles called photons while when light propogates, it behaves as an electromagnetic wave.
