Electronic configuration of fluorine ion is the same as that of neon atom. What is the difference between the two of them?

fluorine ion is formed by gaining an electron to F atom.that means it has 10 electrons now.Ne also has 10 electrons in it.therefore both F ion and Ne atom has same electronic configuration.the difference is that Ne is a neutral atom while F ion is a negatively charged one
