Electrovalent compounds dissolve in water while covalent compounds do not. EXPLAIN

bonds in electrovalent compounds are ionic in nature which is why they dissociate easily in water due to their polar nature. covalent compounds donot have this property and remain insoluble in water. however, covalent compounds are soluble in organic solvents
