Elements combine in a fixed ratio to form a compound. What will happen if the ratio is changed?
Justify your answer by taking the example of carbon and oxygen.​

Answer,

If the ratio of elements is changed,it will form another compound.

ex In carbon dioxide, ratio of carbon and oxygen is 1:2 but if we change the ratio of these 2 elements to 1:1 then it is an another compound known as Carbon Monoxide.
