The teeth of elephant are in the follwing formula

● The two upper second incisors : these are the tusks

●The milk precursors of the tusks

● 12 premolars, 3 in each side of jaw

● 12 molars, in each side of jaw

Thus, the tusks are in the second upper incisors. As We the humans right handed or left handed the elephants are also in the same way left tusked or right tusked.
