To find:

The equivalent resistance between A and B ?

Calculation:

In this kind of complex circuits we need to fast applied potential drops along each resistor and then assign them with parallel or series combination with respect to other resistors.

Refer to 1st diagram:

  • Here I have assigned potential drops using alphabetical letters along each resistors.

  • Now , we shall use a tool : those resistors with same potential drop will be considered under parallel combination.

Refer to 2nd diagram:

  • Here you can see that after rearranging, the circuit is extremely simplified.

  • All the 25 ohms are in parallel.

  • 2 and 4 ohm are in parallel.

  • 6 and 3 ohm are in parallel

Now, you can simplify the circuit (refer to 3rd and 4th diagram)

THE FINAL ANSWER COMES AS 3 OHM as the equivalent resistance in between the terminals A and B

\star Hope It Helps.
