Q) State the function of each of the following in a house circuiting :-

(2) main fuse

1. kWh METER✌️✌️

 It measures the amount of electrical energy used by the consumer in kWh.

It helps to know how much power is consumed in a home per hour or per day but generally used for per month calculation.


2. MAIN FUSE✌️✌️


It regulates the entry of electricity into the homes.

For example,

If the amount of electricity which is more and would damage electrical appliances when passes through the main fuse, it melts due to the heat generated and hence the connection of  house hold appliances is cut off with the high electricity and thus the appliances are saved from damage, just at the cost of a fuse wire.



3.MAIN SWITCH✌️✌️

It can be used to cut off the flow of power or electricity in the home or building in case of emergency.

For example,

if there will be any short circuit, main switch can be used to stop the power supply.
