The mass and weight of an object on earth are 5kg and 49N respectively what will be their values on the moon? assume that the acceleration due to gravity is 1/6th of that on the earth?

Mass of an object doesn't change. hence it will remain 5kgs.
Weight= mass*acceleration due to gravity.
=5x(9.8/6)
=8.17N
