Answer:-

\red{\bigstar} Total time \large\leadsto\boxed{\rm\green{\dfrac{7}{10} \: hours}}

Given:-

Time taken by Elsa to complete History assignment = 1/2 hours

Time taken to complete Chemistry assignment = 1/5 hours

To Find:-

Total time spent of both the assignments.

Solution:-

Total time spent on doing both the assignments will be the sum of Time spent on History assignment and Time spent on Chemistry assignment.

Hence,

\sf \dfrac{1}{2} + \dfrac{1}{5} \: hours

Taking LCM:-

• LCM = 10

\sf\dfrac{5+2}{10}

\bf\dfrac{7}{10} \: hours

Therefore, Total time spent doing two assignments will be 7/10 hours .

Answer:

42 minutes (0.7 hours)

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2 hours equals to 30 minutes

1/5 hours equals to 12 minutes

The time is 42 minutes, if you want to get answer in hours divide it by 60

See it here, 42/60 =0.7 hours.
