Renaissance was the important event that occurred in the 15th and 16th century in Europe. It means rebirth or revival in Latin. It was the cultural revival of ancient cultures.

The effects of renaissance were very much helpful for trade and towns.

1.The geographical discoveries of new lands in 15th century gave a contact with new trade areas.

2. The colonies formed in foreign soil brought the abundance of commodities.

3 Venice, Geneva, Florence, were past trade centers but after renaissance they lost importance with the emerging new trade towns like London, Lisbon, and Amsterdam.

4 the geographical discoveries ensured the good competition in Europe. This made the monopoly trade.

5 lastly the renaissance totally changed the face of Europe and of course the world.
