Electromagnetic induction is the phenomenon opposite to the magnetic effect of current. According to this induced EMF or current are set up in a circuit kept in the varying flux.

The phenomenon of induced EMF of current in a closed circuit over lock as a result of varying magnetic flux linked with it is called as electromagnetic induction.

The origin of electromagnetic induction is the Lorentz Force that shift the electrons from their position.

In 1831, Michael Faraday discovered the effect, called electromagnetic induction and it is just converse to the magnetic effect of electric current.
