the words eminent and imminent are homophones..

EMINENT: someone of great repute.

where as 

IMMINENT : threatening, near at hand.

eminent: a person leaves the country and imminent: a person who enters the country.
both sound same but e (a)-m-I-n-e-n-t- and it is I(e)-m-m-I-n-e-n-t
