It is estimated that about 3% of the plants known from Sikkim are endemic to the region. The genus like Brachycaulos is exclusively endemic to Sikkim. Other genera as Aucuba, Bryocarpum, Gamblea, Lepidostemon, Sphaerosacme , Treutlera are endemic to the eastern Himalaya and are represented in Sikkim also.
