An endothermic reaction is a process or reaction in which the system absorbs energy from its surroundings; usually, but not always, in the form of heat. Some examples are:

Photosynthesis

Melting ice

Evaporating liquid water

Sublimation of carbon dioxide (dry ice)

Cracking of alkanes

Thermal decomposition reactions

Electrolytic decomposition of sodium chloride into sodium hydroxide and hydrogen chloride

Dissolving ammonium chloride in water

Hi there

Your answer is :-

In an endothermic reaction, energy is taken in from the surroundings. The surroundings then have less energy than they started with, so the temperature falls.

Example :-

These examples could be written as chemical reactions, but are more generally considered to be endothermic or heat-absorbing processes:

• melting ice cubes.

• melting solid salts.

• evaporating liquid water.

• converting frost to water vapor (melting, boiling, and evaporation, in general, are endothermic processes).
