My first trip overseas
Life is short and the world is wide.
Wanderlust: a strong desire to travel. Travelling is that emotion which open doors to a lot of beautiful places one might not have thought of by resting on a couch in your home. Definitely, the travel pages bound us to think about some particular place and we wish to travel it as soon as possible. But not all of us are able to travel the world.
I love travelling. Adventure, trekking, exploring new places, all run in my veins. Doing an international tour was always on my list and it happened one day. My first trip overseas was to Melbourne, Australia.
I have always listened about the beauty of Melbourne by my cousins staying there. The beautiful beaches, the wildlife, nightlife and what not. I wanted to experience it myself as well. I wanted to travel and so I went.
It was my first time having an international tour. My flight was at 1:00 A.M. It was a long 17 hours flight with a stop of 2 hours in Singapore.
As soon as I landed on Melbourne International Airport, I had a feeling that, YES I did it. I am finally here.
My cousin picked me up from the airport and we went to his house. We decided to travel from the next day itself. I did not wanted to sit at home ideal. The next day we went to Queen Victoria's Market. It was so big, full of people doing shopping, eating delicious food.
The next, I went to try The Melbourne's famous coffee. Melbourne is known for its coffee worldwide and how can I not taste it? It was yum.
In the consecutive days, we travelled to Federation Square, Royal Botanic Garden, Yarra River, Yarra Valley, Melbourne Cricket Ground, National Gallery Of Victoria, Melbourne Museum, Centre place, St Kilda Beach etc.
The centre place has such a good graffiti work there. I was just mesmerized by the art work there.
I also saw kangaroos for the first time in my life. They were just so good.
Also, the clubs in Melbourne are opened all night. Melbourne has one of the best night life's. It was too fun to do clubbing and partying.
By living in Australia, I learnt a lot of Australian slangs about which I had no idea before.
I stayed for a month in Melbourne. Finally, the day came when I had a flight to return back to India. Time just passed so quickly. I did not wanted to leave and wanted to travel more and more.
I loved Melbourne a lot. I wish I could go to Melbourne again.
So my dear friends, get up and pack up your bags and travel the world. It's beautiful out there.
You'll never know until you go.

Answer:
I took my first trip abroad when I turned 15 years old. My parents and sisters celebrated this special birthday, Quince Años in Spanish, with me in San Andres Island, Colombia. It was the first time I was ever on a plane, so the trip was really exciting although it was only about an hour! I remember the day before leaving, I did not feel so good and I had a rash, so I went to the drugstore but they told me it was only an allergy. So, I did not pay that much attention to it. But the next day when we were at the airport, I had a fever and did not feel that good the following days. Since I thought what I had was a simple allergy, once I noticed some itchy, red dots on my legs, I just scratched them all.
Meanwhile, we visited several great places in the island: the Aquarium, Johnny Cay Island, the Hoyo Soplador (geyser) and Morgan’s Cave. I remember eating rice with coconut and getting my hair braided for the first time, which was a fun experience! After some relaxing and beautiful days in San Andres Island, we came back to Costa Rica.
