So the rule is to Use one of the subject pronouns when it is the subject of the sentence.

Let me start with an easy example: I hit the ball.

Who hit the ball? I did. So “I” is the subject.

Usually, these subject pronouns sound right to most of us.

Now coming to your question...

Example: Ram and I will meet at the gym.Who will meet at the gym? He will meet and the gym. I will meet at the gym. So, 'he' and 'I' are both subjects and on using them separately with the verbs clearly satisfies the subject-verb agreement.

But like you also asked is it not 'Ram and me'.. hmm let's see

Ram and me will meet at the gym.

who will? Ram will... and Me will??!?

Clearly it sounds awkward and is not right.

thus, your question is answered.
