1. Maps are magical as they can transport one to any land one wishes to. 2. Ships, markets, ice and aeroplanes – the poem mentions these things in such a way that all of them sound attractive.

2. One day, a rich italian patron Guiliano Bartoli requested him to make a 20 feet tall patriot of himself on his banquet room wall. They agreed that he vl allow the master artist to explore the limits of his abiilities,& that his paintings vl be kept in private until it is finished.

After 6 months, the painting was revealed but he was so dissapointed with the outcome he got so angry!

however, for Monsieur l'Abbaye, it was his masterpiece. It was just unfortunate that he couldn't appreciate this kind of art called cubism.
