Answer:

                                    COURAGE

We all face difficulties in our lives like loosing some one you love, getting something stolen or having the school bully on your bad side. But what sets courageous people apart from cowards is fortitude. Having the fill to go out there and face those difficulties and diffuse them with passion and strength. Having such qualities is a hard thing to find. Not a lot of people can tell you straight up that they have those qualities because to many people are scared of their difficulties. A solider may boldly face even death on the battle field, but he may not be able to bear the jeers and ridicule hurled at him by his fellows on account of his moral purity or his habit of praying to God. This man has physical courage, but no moral courage. There are men who boldly defy public opinion for conscience sake, but cannot face physical torture or danger to life. Such a men are morally brave, but suffer from physical cowardice. Those who have neither physical nor moral courage are total coward; and those who have both physical and moral courage are true heroes. Moral courage is infinitely superior to physical courage. To stand alone and isolated, to defy public opinion, to risk the loss of friendship and companionship, to rouse opposition, contempt and hatred by daring to do what is right-this is supreme moral courage.

Courage is everything; strength and age are not important

Courage is the hallmark of all successful people. If you

have courage, nothing is required. Even strength and age cannot help you

achieve what you want to achieve. Courage is the voice of self confidence in

man pushing him further into the unknown. All great people who have guided

mankind to better future, have been people who had immense courage in them.

All heroic deeds stem from courage; strength and courage are

secondary to courage. All great leaders of mankind brought freedom, liberty,

equality, better life conditions only through the power of courage. Lincoln

abolished slavery through courage; he was a man of meager physical strength! Einstein

showed exemplary courage since his childhood when he faced some really tough

times at his school from where he was expelled just because he asked some

sensible questions from his history teacher. Helen Keller is a perfect role

model for the younger generations to learn lessons of courage. In spite of

being physically challenged, she faced all the ordeals of life heroically. She

is considered to be one of the most optimistic souls that have graced our

planet with their dynamic personalities. Rani Laxmi Bhai could raise her voice

against the atrocities of the British only through courage. Mahatma Gandhi

ousted the mighty British from India only using courage. Nicola and Jacopo, two

very young boys could have their afflicted and sick sister treated against all

odds only through courage.

Courage has no relationship with age or strength; it is a

divine inner quality of character. So those who wish to be truly successful and

achieve big goals, they must instill courage in their minds and hearts. Courage

is divine. It is God's gift to those who dare to do something in their life. So

be up and be courageous, and the success will follow you on its own accord!

Courage Speech

First I’d like to thank David and Allison for asking me to speak to you. It’s truly an honor. Tonight I’ve been asked to say a few words about courage, which is ironic because even though I’ve taught high school for almost 20 years and given countless presentations I’m a little nervous right now.

Courage is something everybody desires. Wikipedia, which we all know is always true, defines courage as the ability to confront agony, pain, danger and uncertainty. From the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz who found the courage to face the witch, to David facing the Goliath in the Bible or Luke Skywalker battling Darth Vader we are raised on heroic and inspirational tales.

But courage isn’t just about physical bravery, it’s the ability of the Debs and Plebes to present a flawless performance of Lil Abner in the Starlight Playhouse in front of a full rec hall. It’s deciding to follow your dreams despite others telling you won’t make it. What if Michael Jordan stopped playing basketball after Diego cut him from his 9th grade team? What is Taylor Swift stopped singing after being turned down by the first record label? And most importantly, what if David Miller didn’t follow his dreams to acquire and direct Camp Starlight? As time has shown us, these innovators wouldn’t be denied. They had courage to follow through with their dreams.
