The golden rays shone brightly

As my face fell down reminiscing.

That day, it had rained lightly

I was dripping slightly

when I walked in.

Reduced to tears.

My peers took me in

Told me to fix my look

It was the last day at school

the only day my head was out of a book.

They cheered me up

We danced in joy

And how can I forget,

That first day I talked to a boy.

10 years have passed

the building remains still

as if it were untouched

sitting on top of the hill.

Memories flew back

And so did my tears

I remembered all my teachers

and missed my peers.

As I walked past,

my head held low

Oh how I craved

for time to slow

down

forever.
