- Seed should be of high quality.
- They should not be any infection and disease free.
- Seeds should have a higher yielding capacity.
- The selection of crops should be according to the environment of the area such as temperature, humidity, rainfall etc.
- Then the application of fertilizers after the seed is sown.
- The selection of fertilizers should be done after the soil test so that the best fertilizers could be used.
- Last but most important is the irrigation of fields. Irrigation is the most important step for improvement of crops.
- Adequate amount of water should be supplied to the fields.
- Excessive irrigation can also damage the crops.
