These three are prestigious Sports Awards given by the Indian government for outstanding sportspersons and Coaches.

Dronacharya Award:

• This Award was started in the year 1985. This award is given in the field of coaching.

• This award includes a bronze statue of Dronacharya, a certificate, ceremonial dress and prize money.

• The first recipients of the Dronacharya Award were Bhalachandra Bhaskar Bhagwat in wrestling, Om Praksh Bhardwaj in Boxing and O.M. Nambiar in Athletics.

Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Ward:

• Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award started in 1991.

• The first recipient of this award we're Viswanathan Anand in Chess.

• This award includes a medal, a certificate and a cash prize of 7.5 lakhs.

• This is an international award. Deepika Malik was the first Indian women to win this award at the Paralympics.
