Enough of IIM and IAS Questions.. Now an IIT Question !!

Answer:

After 8 hours

Explanation:

If the first rung is already in the water then there are 6 more rungs before the water hits the seventh rung. This means a total distance of 120cm from where the water is to the seventh rung. If the water rises 15cm every hour and it has to rise 120cm then you need to divide the distance by speed to get time

(time =d/s)

So the amount of time = 120/15

= 8 hours

Putting it back into context, it will take 8 hours for the water to reach the seventh rung of the ladder
