There are 5 important features of Himalyan river: 1) The Himalayan rivers are perennial. 2) During the monsoon the Himalayas, receive very heavy rainfall and the rivers often causes floods. 3) During winters the rivers are snow fed. 4) The Ganga basins cover 1 quarter of the total area of the country .5) The Ganga is joined by many Himalayan river including the Yamuna,Ghagra,Gomti,Gandak and Kosi
