I would like to state about Lion’s Club in my village.  They are doing very good service with regard to old people who are suffering from cataract.  They have a tie-up with a very good hospital and arrange for an eye-camp.  Whoever, is deducted of this problem, they take them in the hospital van that day itself and operate them for free of cost.  The patients are kept in the hospital for two days of observation and are brought back to gthe place from where they had been picked
This club also organises competition to collect donation for the
polio drops.  It is through them we came
to know that in India, we still have two more states which are getting affected
by the polio virus.
