Answer:

environmental degradation leads to ecological imbalance. This statement is true. Environmental pollution made by the human beings degrades the environment to a larger extent.

The harmful gases released by vehicles pollute the air, contributes to ozone layer depletion, many respiratory problems etc.

similarly, water pollution affects the aquatic life directly and humans and animals indirectly (when we eat degraded fish, we may suffer from diseases).

Thus soil pollution also affects plants directly and humans indirectly (eating degraded crops can affect our life).

I hope this helps..

Answer:

Ecological imbalance is when a natural- or human-caused disturbance disrupts the natural balance of an ecosystem. The balance of an ecosystem can be disrupted by natural or human-caused disturbances. If a species disappears or a new species is introduced it can shift an ecosystem to a state of ecological imbalance.
