your answer buddy:

2x+3y=2........................................(i)

x-2y=8..............................................(ii)

multiplying eq 2 by 2

eq 2 becomes

2x-4y=16..............................(iii)

now substract eq i and 3

we get x=4

y=-2

hope it helps

Answer:

Answer:

The given two linear equation is consistent

So there exists a unique solution

2x+3y=2 - - - - - - - - - - (1)

x-2y=8 - - - - - - - - - -(2)

From Equation (2)

x = 2y + 8

From Equation (1)

2(2y+8) +3y = 2

4y + 16 + 3y = 2

7y = - 14

y = - 2

From Equation (2)

x = - 4 + 8 = 4

So the required answer is

x = 4, y = - 2
