Given :  A line parallel to x-axis and 6 units above the origin

To find : Equation of line

Solution:

Equation of a line

y = mx  + c

6 unit above origin

=> y = 6  when x  =0

=> 6 = m(0) + c

=> c = 6

Equation of the line parallel to x-axis

=> Slope is same as of x axis

Slope of x axis = 0

=> m = 0

putting m & c value in Equation

y =   0(x) + 6

=> y = 6

Equation of the line is y = 6
