 \huge {ANSWER}

◼Lead nitrate Pb(NO_3)_2is prepared by dissolving lead ( II ) oxide in nitric acid.

◼It can also be prepared by dissolving mettalic ion in aqeous nitric acid.

 \bold{EQUATION}

 PbO + 2 HNO_3 \longrightarrow Pb(NO_3)_2 + 2NO_2 + 2H_2O

 Pb+ 4HNO_3 \longrightarrow Pb(NO_3)_2 + H_2O

◼Nitrates are normal salts of monobasic nitric acid formed by replacement of hydrogen atom in a molecule in the molecule of the acid by a metallic ion.

 {When  \: white \: lead  \: nitrate \:  is \: heated }

◼Take a test tube and add lead nitrate with nitric acid.

✳OBSERVATION

On heating lead nitrate reddish brown evolved and a buff mass is left in the test tube.

✳EQUATION

 2 Pb(NO_3)_2 \longrightarrow 2Pbo + O_2 + 4NO_2
