Equilibrium means there is no net change in the concentration of reactants and products over time during reaction.
So, Equilibrium constant is the ratio of concentration of products to the ratio of concentration of reactants (in a reversible chemical reaction). It is denoted by K.
There are 2 conditions:
1) K<1, reaction will move towards left.
2) K>1, reaction will proceed towards right.
Thanks.
