Let’s assume Zn metal is treated with Hydrochloric acid.

Zn + 2HCl = ZnCl2 + H2

1 equivalent of metal reacts with 2 equivalents of acid to produce 1 equivalent of metal salt and 1 equivalent of hydrogen gas.

Equivalent weight of metal is X g.

So only X/2 g of metal reacts with 1 equivalent of acid.

X/2 g equivalent weight of metal would react with 1 equivalent of acid.

Answer:

Liquid water has one of the highest specific heats among common substances, about 4182 J/(K kg) at 20 °C; but that of ice just below 0 °C is only 2093 J/(K kg).
