A Day Spent with My Grandparents:

Grandparents are the biggest asset in a family. They have a great experience in every part of life. I love to be with my grandparents. That was a Sunday and I went to my grandparents’ place. My grandpa was gardening. I like watering the plants. So, I also joined him and he told me the biological names of the plants and trees, which gave me a great excitement. He taught me how to water plants and how to cut the weeds, add soil, etc.

My grandma was cooking in the kitchen. I felt hungry after the work in gardening. So, I inhaled the fragrance of my grandma’s food and got ready to eat. Suddenly, there came a postman to deliver a letter to my grandpa. There was only a little curd that day. But, my grandpa asked my grandma to give buttermilk to the postman.

Though there is little curd, she made it as buttermilk by churning it. She gave a glass of buttermilk to the postman with a smiling face. After he left, I asked my grandma, “Why did you give the buttermilk? A glass of water is enough, right?” My grandma replied that there is happiness in giving to others.

He is a man who cycles for a long time and distance in the hot sun. So, giving him buttermilk gives us happiness and he feels happy about it, right? So, “let’s be happy and make others happy”, told my grandpa. I realised the essence of living through their words. I loved that day being with them.
