Mother India has borne many brave sons. Sons that have made her immensely proud. One of them is Sri Jagjivan Ram, popularly known as Babuji. Babuji was a powerful freedom fighter and political activist hailing from Bihar. His conviction in equality led him to be a crusader against class discrimination. He belonged to the Dalit class and like Ambedkar fought for equal rights for all suppressed classes.
He was greatly respected by political stalwarts like Nehru and Indira Gandhi. He was appointed Minister of Railways, Defence, Agriculture, Labour to name a few. In each department he worked meticulously and made significant changes. Till today Babuji is remembered with love and reverence.
