Shivaji Maharaj was also called Chhatrapati Shivaji. He belonged to the Bhonsle clan which is present in Maharastra. He was named after one of the most powerful gods, Lord Shiva. He turned out to be one of the most powerful rulers of India.
He had strong alliances with Mughals, Sultans, and even the Europeans. He respected his mother tongue and also ensured that the state strictly followed their mother tongue which is Marathi and Sanskrit. He also had the power to replace the Persian court with the Sanskrit language.
He had a son named Panhala who was born in the year 1678. Panhala escaped from Maharaj with his wife to defeat the Mughals. He returned back to his father after a year. He mainly focused on the weakness of the Mughals by observing them for almost a year so that this can help his father rule over the Mughals.
