I want to visit South Korea to experience the South Korean culture, life,
history, technology, food and all that Korea has to offer. South Korea is traditional,
yet modern and I want to experience both these sides.
My first reason to visit South Korea is to see its many beautiful places. Some of
these are Seoul, Busan, Daegu and Jeju Island. I have seen the videos of the
Gangnam dance by Psy. I want to visit Seoul and feel the same environment. As
Seoul is the capital of South Korea, I want to visit Seoul first. I want to visit the
important historical places in Seoul like Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung
Palace, Bukchon Village and Jongmyo Shrine. Out of these my favourite is
Gyeongbokgung Palace as it is the biggest and has traditional guard changing
ceremony, which can give you a glimpse of the history. Seoul also has many modern
tourist attractions like N Seoul Tower, Lotte World, Coex Aquarium and many
shopping areas like Itaewon, Namdaemun Market, Meyong-dong etc. I want to
leisurely walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream. I want to see Dongdaemun
Design Plaza for its unique architecture. It will be fun to move around in Seoul at
any time as Korea is the safest country in the world.
Korea and India share very old relations. One Indian princess from Ayodhya
went to South Korea long ago and married a Korean King. I want to experience
Korean Culture and lifestyle by visiting Korea. I want to see and try out traditional
Korean dresses and dishes. I want to taste the real Khimchi. Koreans promote their
culture very well and there is an informative Seoul Global Cultural Center which
showcases Korean culture. I want to go there. Koreans have some cultural
similarities with Indians. They also believe in staying together and respecting their
elders. I want to interact with Koreans in the shops, on the roads, in the cafes, to
know more about their traditions. This will bring me closer to Korea.
As I am a student, I am interested in knowing more about the Korean way of
teaching and learning. Korean education system is among the best in the world. I
want to learn from them and make some Korean friends.
As Koreans are very advanced in technological products, I want to see their latest
innovations. I want to visit places like Samsung D'light where I can see the new and
unreleased Samsung products.
