Shri parshuram jayanti is celebrated widely to pay obeisance to shri parshuram jayanti ,a reincarnation of shri vishnu. Parshuram is the sixth avatar of vishnu in hinduism . He was a brahmakshatriya . Like other avatars of vishnu , he appears at a time when overwhelming evil prevailed on earth . It is celebrated on 18th april , a trititya of shukla paksha trititya which is why this day is celebrated as prarusharam jayanti.
