A long life is a blessing from God given to those who live their life righteously. Living righteously is not an easy task as the world is full of temptations. Temptations are nothing but giving into the allurements of senses and carnal pleasure. Righteous life is diametrically opposite to the principle of ‘Eat, Drink, And Be Merry’; it is living in moderation and abstaining from sensual pleasures.
The health related data shows, longevity graphs of people all across the world have come down. Even in India, average life span of an individual is 68.35 years. This dip in the longevity graph has direct connection and relation to the changing life style of people. Dependence on machines, gadgets, increasing pollution, adulteration of food, fast-food, stress, dwindling habits of playing outdoor sports and games, materialism, and lack of meditation, etc. have adversely affected man’s health and longevity.
The need of the hour is to reclaim the old days. Thinking pure thoughts, doing pure actions and deeds, eating pure food, living according to the laws of nature are a few of the secrets to a long healthy and contented life.
One important aspect of Life is that it keeps going forward. This means nothing is permanent. Hence, there should be a reason to stay in dejection. A happy occasion will come to pass, just like a sad one. Above all, one must be optimistic no matter how bad things get. This is because nothing will stay forever. Every situation, occasion, and event shall pass. This is certainly a beauty of Life.

Probably a huge number of individuals complain that Life is a pain. Many people believe that the word pain is a synonym for Life. However, it is pain that makes us stronger. Pain is certainly an excellent way of increasing mental resilience. Above all, pain enriches the mind.
